Adopted IRDAI (Maintenance of Insurance Records) Regulations, 2015 including data localisation requirement

On 12 August 2015, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India adopted the IRDAI (Maintenance of Insurance Records) Regulations, 2015. The Regulations require electronic records on insurance policies and claims made in India to be held in data centres located and maintained in India. Insurers are granted 90 days to comply.
