Description

Spanish Data Protection Authority rejects No-Profit Firm Complaint against Google Analytics use by Royal Spanish Academy

On 15 December 2022, the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) issued a ruling rejecting the complaint of NOYB, a European non-profit privacy activist organisation, against the use of Google Analytics by 101 European companies. Specifically, NOYB complained about the use of Google Analytics data by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation of the Spanish language. The AEPD found that RAE did not violate the GDPR and therefore rejected the complaint.
