The European Union (Enforcement of data subjects' rights on the transfer of personal data outside the European Union) Regulations 2021 is adopted by the Irish government, amending the Data Protection Act 2018. It introduces a judicial remedy for subjects of an infringement of certain safeguards on transfers of personal data outside the European Union and is applied to any transfer of personal data by a controller or processor to a third country or an international organisation pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR that is subject to such safeguards.
