On 11 September 2020, the Federal Law on Minor Protection in Film and Videogames, including content moderation regulation, was introduced in the National Council of Switzerland. The Law aims to protect minors from any content deemed harmful to their physical, mental, social or moral development. In particular, the Law would require the providers of on-demand and platform services, video games, films and TV shows available in cinemas, on DVD or Bluray, and streaming services to specify the recommended age and a summary descriptor for the content displayed.
