On 11 September 2020, the Federal Law on Minor Protection in Film and Videogames, including service access restriction rules, was introduced in the National Council of Switzerland. The Law aims to protect minors from any content deemed harmful to their physical, mental, social or moral development. In particular, the providers of on-demand and platform services and video games would be required to implement an age-verification system to ensure that minors are not exposed to content that is not classified as age appropriate.
