China: Announced lifting of restrictions on new user registration for Didi Chuxing

On 16 January 2023, Didi Chuxing announced that, following the steps taken by the company to comply with the July 2022 ruling by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) concerning the security of user data, the Network Security Review Office had approved the lifting of restrictions on new user registration. New user registration, which had been paused since the beginning of the investigation in July 2021, is set to resume immediately.
