Australia: Consultation opened on regulatory expectation on good practice for the use of crypto-based products

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) opened a consultation on the use of crypto-assets as underlying instruments for Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) and other alike investment products. Market operators and products issuers are thereby consulted on the proposals made by the ASIC. The proposals are related to the identification of appropriate underlying crypto-assets and the establishment of good practice rules in regards to custody, pricing, risk management and disclosure.
