Requested preliminary ruling by CJEU concerning disclosure of information concerning data recipients under GDPR (Case C-154/21)

On 9 March 2021, the Supreme Court of Justice of Austria filed a reqest for a preliminary ruling with the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Case C-154/21 on the disclosure of information concerning data recipients under the data subject right of access provided by Art.15 of the GDPR. The original case was brought by a private individual against the Austrian postal service. The individual had argued that the right of access required data controllers to disclose specific information about third-party recipients of personal data.
