Signed China-Philippines e-Commerce memorandum of understanding including consumer protection

On 5 January 2022, China and the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on electronic commerce (e-commerce). The MoU aims to promote the e-commerce sector through increased cooperation. In particular, under the MoU, the parties agreed to collaborate and share experiences and best practices on consumer and merchant protection requirements and intellectual property rights.
