Signed China-Philippines e-Commerce memorandum of understanding including border measure

On 5 January 2022, China and the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on electronic commerce (e-commerce). The aim of the MoU is to promote the e-commerce sector through increased cooperation. In particular, under the MoU the countries aim to promote and increase the trade of products and services, engage in exchanges between enterprises and e-commerce platforms and provide information and share best practices in regard to e-commerce.
