Opened consultation on Amending the Applicability of Securities Laws to Digital Assets
On 4 January 2023, the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) opened a public consultation until 12 February 2023 on a proposal on Amending the Applicability of Securities Laws to Digital Assets. Under the proposed legislation, digital assets would be treated as financial instruments and therefore be subject to the regulatory oversight of the ISA in the same way as other financial investments.
