Establishment of Data Governance Standardization Collaborative

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) announced the establishment of the Canadian Data Governance Standardization Collaborative. The Collaborative is part of the implementation of Canada's Digital Charter and aims to ensure innovation through standardization in data governance, which the Charter views as a tool to support innovation and ensure Canadian companies remain competitive globally. The Collaborative's role is to articulate needs, propose coordinated standardization activity, minimize duplication of effort, and enable stakeholders to focus their resources in this effort in order to accelerate the development of industry-wide data governance standardization strategies.
