Adopted Work Plan for the Governance of Online Information Content in Illegal Securities Activities

On 23 December 2022, the Cyberspace Administration of China's Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission adopted the Work Plan for the Governance of Online Information Content in Illegal Securities Activities. The local cyberspace affairs offices are required to work with platforms to enforce licensing and disclosure requirements for websites both in the securities business and giving financial advice, establish and improve reporting mechanisms for illegal activities, and create awareness amongst potential investors. Local cyberspace affairs offices are required to report on the results of this work by 30 June 2023.
