The Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC) closed the consultation on the amendments to its guidelines for the proper handling of specific personal information by business operators, administrative organisations, as well as local public organisations. The amendments aim to clarify the requirements for a transfer of an employee's personal information from a previous employer to a new employer. For a transfer of personal information the consent of the employee shall be obtained. The scope of the data is limited to the extent necessary to process the personal number, including name, address, date of birth, previous job, salary.
