Adopted UK Code of Practice for app store operators and app developers

On 9 December 2022, the UK Government published a new Code of Practice for app store operators and app developers setting out minimum security and privacy requirements across the app market. The new Code contains voluntary rules for app operators and developers that seek to protect consumers from malicious apps that threaten their privacy and security. Among other measures, the Code of Practice suggests the implementation of a vulnerability disclosure process and regular updates for apps.
