Implemented Cryptocurrency Advertising Regulations

On 5 September 2022, Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced the implementation of new rules for advertising for cryptocurrency companies. The new regulations require cryptocurrency businesses to provide clear information on investment risks and to offer a fair assessment of prospective risk and returns. Cryptocurrency businesses are also required to provide information to the regulatory authorities on advertising terms and related spending, including collaborations with influencers and bloggers.
