Description

Adopted Republic of Korea - European Union Digital Partnership including interoprability requirements

On 28 November 2022, the European Union and the Republic of Korea adopted the EU-Republic of Korea Digital Partnership. This treaty enshrines the Parties' political commitment to a set of shared values and objectives connected to the development of a digital society. Interoperability is one of the key areas for which joint actions are outlined in the Treaty. In addition to a series of other measures encouraging the convergence of regulatory regimes and standards - and therefore interoperability - in a variety of areas, specific attention is dedicated to the interoperability of digital identity and trust services, such as electronic signatures.
