On 14 January 2023, the Digital Partnership Agreement (KSDPA) signed by the Government of Korea and Singapore on 21 November 2022, entered into force. The Agreement seeks to deepen cooperation in the digital economy between both countries by establishing digital trade rules that promote interoperability between digital systems. Regarding online consumer protection, the Agreement provides that both countries will adopt or maintain laws and regulations against fraudulent, misleading or deceptive conduct that causes harm to consumers engaged in online commercial activities.
