Republic of Korea: Concluded negotiations on Korea and Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement including provisions to enable cross-border data flows

On 15 December 2021, the Governments of Korea and Singapore announced the conclusion of negotiations for the Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement (KSDPA). The KSDPA will strengthen digital connectivity between both countries by facilitating cross-border data flows and prohibiting data localisation. Furthermore, the Agreement will also deepen bilateral cooperation in new emerging areas such as personal data protection, E-payments, and source code protection.
