Issued prohibition of aquisition of Elmos by Silex
On 9 November 2022, the German Federal Cabinet issued a prohibition in the investment screening procedure concerning the acquisition by Silex, a Swedish subsidiary of Chinese group Sai Microelectronics, of chip factory Elmos. The prohibition has been implemented because of concerns over national security and potential risks related to access of sensitive technological know-how.
