Adoption of ASEAN Cybersecurity Cooperation Strategy 2021-2025

On 28 January 2022, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) launched the “ASEAN Cybersecurity Cooperation Strategy 2021-2025”. The Strategy builds on the ASEAN Cybersecurity Cooperation Strategy 2017-2020 and seeks to support the establishment of a rules-based multilateral order for cyberspace through the application of voluntary norms. In addition, the Framework sets out the following key priority areas of work, advancing cyber readiness cooperation, strengthening regional cyber policy coordination, enhancing trust in cyberspace, regional capacity building and international cooperation.
