Launched Laboratory for Childhood Protection Online Charter

On 10 November 2022, the Laboratory for Childhood Protection Online Charter was launched in the Paris Peace Forum. The initiative was promoted by France and includes participants from the private sector, civil society, governments, and organizations. Companies such as Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and TikTok have agreed to sign the Charter. The Charter’s objective is to create a Laboratory that will explore, promote, develop and evaluate solutions for the safety and protection of minors in the digital environment by focusing on topics such as privacy protection, the age for accessing content, harassment, digital literacy, transparency and moderation with a particular focus on gender-based risks.
