Russia: Published Roskomnadzor warning to Google regarding removal of BelRos channel from Youtube

On 10 November 2022, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia (Roskomnadzor) published an official communication demanding that Google LLC, the owner of the platform YouTube, immediately restore access to the “BelRos" channel, which is Russia and Belarus's first joint electronic media project. Roskomnadzor has claimed that the action constitutes a gross limitation to the free movement of information, demanded the restoration of deleted content, and requested an explanation for what it considers to be discriminatory restrictions.
