Published recommendations to strengthen the protection of minors online

The French Data Protection Authority published 8 recommendations to strenghten the protection of minors online, aiming to clarify the requirements online business have to meet when dealing with minors. The recommendations include strengthening the rights of minors and their ability to exercise those rights, educating parents on digital content and to seek parental consent for content shown to minors under 15 years of age as well as additional checks and guarantees for verifying the user age.
