Implemented Amendment to Advertising Law

On 1 September 2022, the Amendment to the Russian Federal Law of 13 March 2006 No. 38-FZ On Advertising (Law on Advertising) entered into force. Under the Amendment, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has the authority to collect, record, and store information about advertising distributed on the internet. In addition, participants in the Internet advertising market are required to enter information about their operations, through registered advertising data operators (ADPs), in the Unified Internet Advertising Registry (ERIR). The list of ADPs will be published on Roskomnadzor’s official website.
