Announced settlement in Arizona lawuit against Google for location tracking

On 4 October 2022, the Arizona State Attorney General announced that he had reached a settlement agreement with Google in a case regarding Google's location tracking. Under the settlement agreement, Google has agreed to pay USD 85 million to the State of Arizona in exchange for the State requesting a dismissal of the lawsuit. The State has agreed to file such a dismissal request within three business days of receipt of the payment. According to the settlement notice delivered to the judge in the lawsuit, the dismissal request will be filed no later than 27 October 2022.
