China: Publication of draft data security law including oversight mechanism

The National People's Congress Standing Committee publishes its draft of the Data Security Law, which requires government authorities to permit data sharing with foreign enforcement authorities and enables them to request private company data. The national security leading organ is responsible for supervising the data security strategy.
