Implementation of system accepting cryptocurrencies as legal tender for tax payments

On 24 August 2022, the Argentinian province of Mendoza launched its new tax administration cryptocurrency payment service. The system allows citizens to pay government fees and taxes with cryptocurrencies. Currently, only stablecoins such as Tether are accepted as legal tender. In the future, payments will be accepted through the ATM website portal using secure and established crypto wallets (e.g. Binance, Bybit and Ripio).
