Issued FBI warning regarding cybersecurity vulnerabilities in decentralized finance platforms

On 29 August 2022, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a warning regarding cybersecurity vulnerabilities in decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. The FBI noted the increasing prevalence of cyber criminals exploiting the security vulnerabilities of smart contracts to commit theft on DeFi platforms. As a result, the FBI recommended a number of measures, such as code audits, real-time analytics, and incident response plans, which both users and DeFi platform owners can follow.
