Description

Introduced Neutrality and Broadband Justice Act

On 28 July 2022, the Neutrality and Broadband Justice Act (S.4676) was introduced in the United States Senate. The Bill aims to amend the Title II of the Communications Act to expand the definition of telecommunications service to include broadband internet access services. In particular, the Bill would give the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) the authority to restore network neutrality protections. Furthermore, the FCC would have the power to issue orders to block discriminatory practices, including blocking and throttling and regulate the “paid prioritization” of online content.
