Adopted revised Interpretative Guidelines on Electronic Commerce and Information Property Trading

On 28 August 2020, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) published a revised version of the 2002 Interpretative Guidelines on Electronic Commerce and Information Property Trading. The guidelines aim to clarify how relevant laws are applied to various legal issues related to electronic commerce and information property trading while facilitating e-commerce transactions. The Guidelines include provisions on commercial practices, new technologies and international rules on e-commerce and information property trading.
