On 1 July 2022, the Measures for the Operation of the Interactive Platform for the Supervision and Regulation of Online Booking Rental Cars, on the handling and maintenance of data from ride-hailing services are implemented. The new Measures require local transportation authorities to transmit licensing information of ride-hailing services to a central database in real-time or send the data twice a week. Ride-hailing service providers are required to regularly submit information regarding their drivers, orders, and location, with a number of additional requirements, such as the designation of a responsible person and notification requirements in case of disruptions. Further, the ride-hailing service provider is responsible for the quality of the data submitted. The data has to meet the standards of data integrity, standardisation, timeliness and authenticity.
