National Court of Buenos Aires ruled in favour of the "right to be forgotten"

On 20 February 2020, the National Court in Buenos Aires partially admitted a public figure's claim against a search engine company over the "right to be forgotten". In particular, the plaintiff requested the search engine company to erase content linked to her past, arguing that the data from 20 years ago is harmful to her image and infringes her right to privacy. The court ordered the company to block all links from its search engines, including video platforms related to the plaintiff obtained twenty years ago.
