Consultation closed on draft Circular on Data Privacy Act Registration requirements

On 31 July 2022, the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines closed the consultation on its draft Circular regarding the registration requirements of the Data Privacy Act (DPA). Under the DPA, certain data controllers and processors, depending on the size, sensitivity, and frequency of processed data, are required to register their data processing systems with the NPC. The draft Circular sets out the conditions and process of this registration.
