Introduced bill to raise privacy protection for users of certain internet platforms

US Senate Bill 1477, the Data and Algorithm Transparency Agreement (DATA) Act, aims to increases the data governances standards for certain platform providers. Platforms with an active monthly user base exceeding 30 million US residents and which use algorithms to prioritise content display towards the users shall seek consent for collecting user data, selling the data to third-parties and allow the user to revoke such consent.
