Opened consultation on digital assets policy following Executive Order 14067 on digital assets

On 7 July 2022, the US Department of the Treasury opened a public consultation on the implementation of Section 5(b)(i) of Executive Order 14067 of 9 March 2022, “Ensuring Responsible Development of Digital Assets,” into national policy, until 8 August 2022. The main areas of focus are the opportunities and risks presented by the adoption of digital assets, especially: consumer protection, financial stability, mitigation of financial and national security risks, reinforcement of US leadership, access to financial services and technological advancement.
