Announced administrative penalities concerning 28 mergers due to non-compliance with reporting requirement

On 10 July 2022, China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) announced administrative penalties of CNY 500,000 per case in 28 acquisitions in which companies had breached the Anti-Monopoly Law, mainly by violating reporting duties to SAMR. The companies that were fined include Tencent Holdings, Alibaba Group Holding and Didi Global.
