Announced pilot project on cooperation between crypto exchanges and second-tier banks
On 16 June 2022, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan announced a pilot project for cooperation between crypto exchanges and second-tier banks (STB). The pilot project will allow registered crypto exchange platforms to open accounts in several STBs until the end of 2022. The pilot aims to develop the crypto industry and blockchain technologies in Kazakhstan and will be governed by special rules for interaction that are to be published.
