Announced local representation and registration requirements for large service platforms/internet intermediaries in Code of Practice

On 13 June 2022, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) published the draft of the Code of Practice for interactive computer service platforms/internet intermediaries and Conditions for Operating in Nigeria. The draft Code of Practice requires service platforms that have more than 100'000 local users to be legally incorporated and appoint a country representative as conditions to operate in Nigeria.
