Consultation opened on Investment Transactions List expansion to exempt crypto-assets transactions from taxation

On 23 May 2022, the United Kingdom Government (UK) closed its consultation on the expansion of the Investment Transactions List (ITL), including the addition of crypto-assets, until 18 July 2022. The ITL includes the transactions that fall under the Investment Manager Exemption (IME), exempting certain types of transactions conducted on behalf of overseas clients from UK taxation. The consultation aims to gather information on the types of crypto-asset investments that should be included in the ITL.
