Italy: Communication on decentralised technologies in finance and crypto-activities issued

On 15 June 2022, the Bank of Italy, Italy's central bank, has issued a Communication on decentralised technologies in finance and crypto-activities. Specifically, the Communication aims to inform supervised entities and users operating in decentralised ecosystems of the risks and benefits associated with the use of such technologies. Further, the Communication aims to provide information allowing such entities and users to take appropriate safeguards against the aforementioned risks.
