Adoption of California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (Proposition 24) introducing California Privacy Protection Agency
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2020 (Proposition 24), amending the 2018 California Consumer Privacy Act, is adopted by the California Legislature after the approval of the correspondent ballot initiative. The Act establishes the California Privacy Protection Agency, which is governed by a five-member board and shall enforce the privacy provisions. The Act will be implemented from 1 January 2023.
