Introduced Online Gaming (Regulation) Bill 2022

On 1 April 2022, the Online Gaming (Regulation) Bill 2022 (No. 78). was introduced in the Lok Sabha. The Bill aims to regulate online gaming, given the amount of time and money that Indian citizens spend on such games. The Bill would establish an Online Gaming Commission, which would be responsible for the oversight of online gaming operators. In particular, the Online Gaming Commission would be responsible for granting licenses to online gaming operators in India and for establishing specific rules regarding online gaming.
