United Kingdom: Opened consultation on guidance on research provisions within the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

The UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has opened a consultation on its draft guidance on the research provisions within the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The draft guidance highlights the legislation's provisions related to research and their practical effect. Particularly, the guidance aims to help researchers to carry out data processing in compliance with the legislation. The consultation will be closed on 22 April 2022.
