Implemented approval requirement in order on measures to ensure the technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure

On 31 March 2022, the order on technological independence and security requires providers of critical information infrastructure sectors, such as telecommunication networks, and automated control systems operating in the field of healthcare, science, transport, communications, energy, banking, financial market, defence, rocket and space, to receive approval from federal agencies before acquiring foreign software or hardware. Any other services that enable the functioning of foreign software are subject to this order. From 2025, the ban is extended to the use of foreign software in private and public critical information infrastructure facilities
