Adopted decree establishing the French agency to fight foreign disinformation (Viginum)

The French Government adopted a Decree to establish the "Vigilance and Protection against Foreign Digital Interference Service" (Viginum). The Agency is responsible for identifying foreign digital threats that aim to interfere with the interests of France, by pursuing analyses, assisting the Defence Secretary and coordinating the actions of different Ministries. In particular, the Agency is requested to monitor the foreign actions aimed to alter the information of citizens during election periods.
