Introduced Bill to implement the Directive (EU) 2019/790 on the copyright in the Digital Single Market (Bill 7847)

On 24 June 2021, Bill no. 7847 implementing the EU Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market is introduced in the Parliament of Luxembourg. The Bill amends the Luxembourg law of 18 April 2001 on copyright, the law of 3 December 2015 on orphan works use and the law of 25 April 2018 on the collective management of copyright and the multi-territorial licensing of musical copyright of musical works that are hosted online. In particular, it implements the remuneration, content moderation and copyright requirements as prescribed in the EU Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market.
