Peru: Adopted National Digital Transformation System

On 1 September 2020, the President of Peru issued the National Digital Transformation System Emergency Decree (DU 006-2020). The Decree provides a general framework called the "National Digital Transformation System" (SNTD) for the development of policies and the guidance of public administration as concerns data storage, data transfers, cybersecurity and the digital economy. The body responsible for the coordination and governance of the SNTD is the Secretariat of Digital Government, which involves the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministries of Economy, Education, Transport, Justice, Production and Foreign Affairs, and the National Council for Science and Technological Innovation.
