Bangladesh: Adopted Digital Security Act

On 29 September 2018, the Digital Security Act was adopted. The Act aims to prevent terrorism, hate crimes against minorities, and racism by creating content monitoring mechanisms in print, digital, and social media. Any content that is deemed dangerous, violent, or sexual must be removed, although clear definitions of inappriopriate content were not made.
