Consultation closed on Streaming Services Reporting and Investment Scheme

On 24 April 2022, the consultation on the Streaming Services Reporting and Investment Scheme aimed at supporting Australian content closes. The scheme would oblige companies providing Subscription Video on Demand services to annually report both investments made in Australian content and strategies to increase Australian content offers to the government. Companies investing less than 5% of their local revenue in Australian content could receive a formal request from the Federal Minister for Communications to increase their investments.
